Getting Started

students can:
  • choose from Hofstra faculty-led programs offered as semester-long programs, short-term programs offered over the course of a few weeks during January and Summer Sessions, or over the course of one week during Spring Break.
  • consider applying to participate in one of Hofstra's semester or academic year long programs with one of our exchange partner institutions overseas.
  • explore Hofstra's short-term service learning trips.
  • contact a Hofstra faculty advisor assigned to a trip who can answer all of your questions and concerns.
  • apply to study abroad, intern or volunteer overseas through other higher education institutions or private providers.
Search the online brochures for contact information and information on course offerings, trip itineraries, living accommodations, deadlines and cost.

All trips, Hofstra and Non-Hofstra, must be approved by the Office of Study Abroad.
Instructions for approval are posted with each program description on this site, Terra Dotta.

All students are encouraged to contact the Study Abroad Office with questions or to ask for an appointment. Please email studyabroad@hofstra.edu
